Hardy Pit - 2008

Hardy Pit after completion

Our affiliated company was contracted by the M.A.A.P program to restore an extensive gorge that had eroded the former gravel pit embankment that was caused from excess surface water runoff during the spring each year.

The completed works show the slope reinstated with a drainage diversion swale to handle the spring run off. Vegetation is now well established using an old farm mix of seeds.

You can find out more about the rehabilitation of abandoned aggregate pit by visiting the M.A.A.P website or the T.O.R.A.C. (The Ontario Aggregate Resource Corporation) website located on our links page

Cadmus Country Club - 1991

Cadmus Country Club

Cadmus Country Club was constructed in 1993 consisting of three separate ponds covering an area of six and a half acres. the ponds are spring fed, as well as having a water draw from a creek located beside them and allowing a controlled flow of water through all three ponds.

They are connected by overflow pipes and the water is then returned to the creek through combination "top and bottom" flow structure.

The first and second pond average a depth of twelve to eighteen feet, while the third pond, which is also the largest pond, was constructed in various depths ranging from twelve feet to twenty-eight feet.

The image above shows the construction of an earth dam.

This is an image of the finished earth dam between

The deep end of this pond was achieved by digging to a depth of twenty feet and constructing a dam which then allowed the water level to rise another eight feet.

Wolf Run Golf Course - 1989-1990

Pathway constructed that runs from the 8th green to the 9th.

This project is an example of the process we have worked with and developed to let the natural features of the land help guide the design.

The result at left was a fairly straight path as well as minimal damage to existing trees.

8th hole at Wolf Run, referred to as "Orchard Turn".

The eighth hole at Wolf Run Golf course is referred to as the "Orchard Turn" consisting of a "dog leg" to the left through an old apple orchard, 272 yards from blue tee.
